Birthdate: June 3, 1950 , Charleston , W.VA

Current Band: Willie Pooch and the Upsetters, the Mojo Kings

Past Bands: I started out in theater. Toured with Fred Waring/J.C. Superstar/Hair. Worked on Broadway-‘Selling of the President' (A flop) ‘Fiddler', ‘Pippen'. Numerous local bands; most notable – ‘Alligators' and the ‘Mojo's'.

Favorite pianist (deceased): Otis Span and Prof. Longhair

Favorite singer (living): Tony Bennett

First blues record: "I'll Play The Blues For You" by Albert King

Music career focus: I'm working on recording and promoting my own solo CD. Also performing and promoting good blues for the people.

Personal Statement:

Andy Robinson: " I‘ve performed virtually every kind of music. My favorite is still the blues. Most of my early education in the blues was my association with David Workman and Willie Pooch. I feel that if the blues are presented by good bands and good venues, you would have to be "brain dead" not to get off your ass and jam. Keep Rockin'! ."
